Over time, UV rays break down the protective resins in the gel coat, causing it to lose its glossy appearance and become dry, brittle, and dull. As the oxidation process continues, the surface begins to powder, creating that white, chalky residue.

How to Fix Chalkiness on Your Boat

1. Clean the Surface Thoroughly

Before tackling chalkiness, ensure your boat is clean. It's important to remove dirt, salt, and debris so that you’re not rubbing contaminants into the surface while polishing. 2. Use Dulon Poly Polish to Remove Chalkiness

5. Regular Maintenance
